Starbucks Japan has launched a new concept store named Smart Lounge focused on business use. The Smart Lounge is located in Takanawa Gateway Station, Shinagawa town. This is a collaboration with railway operator JR East.

The Smart Lounge features semi-private and single-seat seats for work. It also has a large table for meetings with multiple people. It also provides power outlets at all seats. Aside from Wi-Fi, the store also operates a mobile battery sharing service.

The Smart Lounge accepts cashless payments such as Starbucks Card and Suica. Customers can also settle orders in advance and receive products through a dedicated app.
